I've been reading this off-and-on since last November, just before the 50th anniversary of President Kennedy's assassination. There are stretches that are remarkably well written and compelling and others that are just remarkably detailed. Still compelling, but the amount of information is overwhelming. I had to set it aside a few times for fear of getting lost in the weeds.
I first heard about the book when I read this article, "A Clash of Camelots", about the struggle between the author and the Kennedy family over what to include in the book, as well as the fact that he needed their approval to release his magnum opus and they all desperately wanted to move on and not relive the events of an extraordinarily painful weekend in November of 1963.
